SEOUL, January 4 (Yonhap) -- The Earth is on the verge of colliding with an asteroid.

Humanity enters the so-called "Moon Shield Plan" to send engineers to the moon to block asteroids, but fails. Emergency withdrawal orders are issued to the operators on the moon, and by the time all rockets leave for Earth, the mechanic "Dugu Yue" later realizes that he was left alone on the moon.

The Chinese science fiction comedy "Moon Man" is a film adapted from Jo Seok's webtoon "Moon Yu." The Webtoon became very popular as it was serialized on Naver between 2016 and 2017. It became a hot topic in and out of Korea as it became known that it would be made into a movie in China.

Reflecting the popularity, the movie "Moon Man" has attracted 70 million viewers since its release in China last year, ranking second in the box office.

The movie brought out the fun of the original work. The story of a mechanic who was left alone on the moon was mixed with his unique imagination and humor. The movie makes the audience laugh with Dugu Yue's smart and at the same time reckless tries to survive stands out.
