SEOUL, April 26 (Yonhap) -- Seven-member group VERIVERY has returned to fans after releasing its first full-length album three years after its debut.

“We have always wanted to meet fans with a full album one day, so we are happy to achieve that dream,” said the group at a showcase to celebrate the release of “SERIES O [ROUND 3 : WHOLE],” held at Yes24 Live Hall, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on Monday.

Minchan said, “This album focuses on the story of the confrontation between those who face the dark and those who want to protect it,” adding, “Since our debut, we were complimented about our universe and it will also be a more colorful one this time.”

Gyehyeon mentioned the keyword “Hello Darkness” of the group's universe and explained, “It holds the meaning that people should not neglect the dark side within them but live together with it.”

The title song “Undercover” is a Latin hip-hop song that the group tried for the first time.

Yeonho emphasized, “It is a song where you can see VERIVERY’s charismatic and mature side.”

Yongseung said, "The most famous nickname when it comes to VERIVERY is 'Kalgak VERY' (due to its sharp group dance),” and asked for the performance to be expected.

VERIVERY, which continued to release self-written and self-composed songs since its debut, included 4 of their own songs, “Childhood,” “Velocity,” “Our Spring,” and “Fine,” in this album.

Dongheon shared, “I wanted a clear concept while writing the songs. I worked while thinking of when I would want to listen to the track and when I would be reminded of it.”

The member also mentioned, “Winning the first place on a music show is the goal that's right in front of us.”

“During the pandemic, our fans couldn’t scream and come see us on the stage. I’ve been very disappointed but I’m now happy we can communicate. We will show you a better side of us,” said Gyehyeo.
