BTS' RM receives appreciation plaque from Cultural Heritage Association

SEOUL November 26 (Yonhap) -- K-pop superstar BTS’ leader RM has been awarded with the appreciation plaque from the Cultural Heritage Association for his assistance with restoring heritages located outside of South Korea.


According to the music industry on Saturday, RM has received the appreciation plaque from the administrator of Cultural Heritage Administration, Choi Eung-chon on October 31.

“With continuous love and interest towards South Korean heritage, RM assisted greatly in preserving and restoring S.Korean cultural heritage located outside of the country and getting the world out to the world.” addressed Cultural Heritage Association, while giving out the appreciation plaque.

RM has donated 100 million one in 2021 and 2022, in total of 200 million won, in hope of restoring and preserving South Korean heritage located in foreign nation.

His donation has been used to restore and preserve heritage from Joseon dynasty, and to create a brochure for South Korean paintings.

Artist’s interest in art is well known throughout the public.

For his upcoming first solo album “Indigo” which will be released in December 2, RM collaborated with deceased Yoon Hyung-keun painter.
