Actress-Painter Jung Eun-hye to Marry in May

SEOUL, Feb. 25 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actress-painter Jung Eun-hye said she is set to marry in May. Jung, born with Down's syndrome, gained attention for her role in tvN’s drama "Our Blues." 

 

Jung will hold her wedding ceremony on May 3 at the Munho-ri River Market in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, according to her YouTube channel, "Your Face, Eun-hye." 

 

Her fiance is Cho Young-nam, an advocate of impaired people' rights, whom she met at a workplace for people with developmental impairedness. 

 

Jung also shared the news on another YouTube channel, OPQR, saying shyly, “I just like it because I love him.” She added, “Will I be able to live happily after getting married?”

Jung rose to fame through Our Blues, where she portrayed Young-hee, the twin sister of Young-ok (played by Han Ji-min), a character with a developmental difficulties.

 

Beyond acting, Jung is also an accomplished painter and YouTuber. Since 2016, she has been creating portrait caricatures at the Munho-ri River Market, with her works exhibited both domestically and internationally.

 

In 2023, she held a solo exhibition in New York, and last October, she showcased her art at the Korean Cultural Center in Brazil.
