SEOUL, Apr. 13 (Yonhap) -- A competition to evaluate the Korean traditional liquor brewed by hand, "The 1st Changwon Korean Traditional Liquor Competition," will be held on the 16th.
In this competition hosted by "Korean Traditional Liquor Story," a research place for Korean traditional alcoholic beverages, they will be judging Cheongju and Takju without artificial additives including yeast and sweeteners.
Only rice, water, or wheat will be used to make the alcoholic beverages and will be awarded with gold, silver, and bronze through the evaluation by the judges.
The event will be held in the Banquet Hall on the 1st floor of Hae;bom Bakery & Cafe, located in Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, South Gyeongsang province.
In addition to those participating, the general public will also be able to participate with a participation fee of 10,000won and a personal drinking glass.
The "Traditional Korean Liquor Story" was established in Changwon in 2018 for the development and popularization of Korean traditional alcohols.
It has tried its best to promote the excellency and value of the Korean traditional liquor, and have also created 300 students who has achieved the process of learning about the Korean traditional liquor so far.
