SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Yonhap) -- Ten films starring the iconic South Korean actress Yoon Jeong-hee, who died in France on Jan. 30 (local time), will be released on YouTube for the public to watch free of charge.
The Korean Federation of Film Archives (KOFA) prepared a film collective, titled “REST IN PEACE, Yoon Jeong-hee,” to recollect the films the late actress had appeared in; this film playlist will be uploaded on the Federation’s official YouTube channel “Korean Classical Film,” the sole film archive in South Korea with nationwide coverage announced Friday.
The list will include a total of 10 films, including Director Kim Soo-young’s masterpiece “Mist” (1967), “Night Voyage” (1977), Director Shin Sang-ok’s “Eunuch” (1968), “Lady of the Court” (1972), as well as Director Choi Ha-won’s “The Old Jar Craftsman.”
The KOFA has been running its official YouTube channel “Korean Classical Film” since 2012 as an online archive and exhibition displaying about 200 domestic classical films, starting with Director Kim Soo-young’s “Bloodline” that won the Best Film at the Grand Bell Awards.
The Federation will also be presenting the new “KOFA Commentary Theater” this year, where viewers can watch classical films while listening to the explanation provided by the film director and film critic Jung Sung-il.
