SEOUL, Feb. 21 (Yonhap) -- K-pop rookie girl group I’LL-IT will debut with their first mini-album on March 25, Hybe's subsidiary label Belift Lab announced on Wednesday.
Bang Shi-hyuk, the chair of Hybe and creative brain behind global superband BTS, participated as producer, the firm said.
I’LL-IT is a girl group formed through the JTBC audition program “R U NEXT?” aired last year, consisting of five members: Yuna, Minju and Wonhee from Korea and Moca and Aroha from Japan.
The new group marks Hybe’s third girl group, following Le SSerafim and NewJeans.
The team name “I’LL-IT” combines “I WILL,” representing 'autonomous and proactive will, and “IT,” meaning “a special something.” It embodies the ambition of being a group with the potential to become anything it wants to be.
I’LL-IT members expressed their excitement about finally debuting, saying, "We are delighted and thrilled to finally debut as we have eagerly hoped for. We are grateful to the fans who have waited for us… We feel that we have grown even more through recording and shooting the music video.”
