SEOUL, Oct. 23 (Yonhap) -- ATTRAKT, the agency of K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty, said on Wednesday that it has filed a lawsuit seeking damages of around 20 billion won against Warner Music Korea.

The lawsuit targets former Warner Music Korea CEO Jin Mo and current executive director Yoon Mo over allegations of tampering, which involves illicitly contacting artists before the end of their contracts.

ATTRAKT stated, "Warner Music Korea played a key role during the contract dispute involving former members of Fifty Fifty. We have secured critical evidence proving that tampering meetings were held on May 17 last year at Warner Music Korea's headquarters, involving the former members' parents."

Last June, amid the Fifty Fifty controversy, ATTRAKT had announced the group's suspension of activities due to health issues, while also claiming that external forces were attempting to breach the group's exclusive contracts. Warner Music Korea was named as one of the main culprits behind these attempts.

ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong-jun added, "The actual damages are much larger, but we are initially seeking ₩20 billion in compensation and plan to increase the amount later."
