SEOUL, June 25 (Yonhap) -- Korean actor Nam Joo-hyuk filed a criminal complaint against online media and the anonymous informant who raised the allegation of school violence.

According to Soop Management on June 24 “Nam Joo-hyuk filed a complaint against the reporter and the representative director of online media ‘The Days’ and the anonymous informant on charges of violating the Act of Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information and Communication Network.”

Moreover, “We sincerely hope that the truth of this matter will be revealed through prompt investigation and the actor Nam Joo-hyuk’s stained name and honor be restored.” added the Soop Entertainment.

Based on the anonymous informant’s claim on June 20 online media “The Days” sent out an article stating throughout middle school and high school Nam Joo-hyuk participated in school violence by forcing other students to be his “bread shuttle” where kids would run to the store during passing periods to buy bread and food for the bully.

Once the report was published Nam Joo-hyuk said the allegations made through the article are not true and he warned about legal actions he is about to take against people who are responsible for the article.
