SEOUL October 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korean musical movie “Life is Beautiful” featuring actor Ryu Seung-ryong, Yeom Jeong-ah topped the S.Korean box office for the first time throughout the weekend after being on screen for three weeks.
According to the data by the Korean Film Council on Monday, “Life is Beautiful” topped the South Korean box office by attracting 124 thousand audiences. Up until October 16 total of 829 thousand audiences have watched the movie in total.
“Life is Beautiful” which premiered with “Honest Candidate 2” started off as third on the S.Korean box office successfully took the top on October 12 after being on screen since September 28.
“Confidential Assignment 2: International” which had winning streak of 5 consecutive weeks, attracted total of 112 thousand audiences within the past three days, dragging the movie to rank second on the S.Korean box office.
Third place on the box office was taken by the animation movie "Crayon Shin-chan: School Mystery! The Splendid Tenkasu Academy" which attracted total of 81 thousand people.
Horror movie “Orphan: First to Kill, 2022,” took fourth on the list, “Everything Everywhere all at once” took sixth, “Daemuga” took eighth, and more were placed within the top ten chart of South Korean box office.
