SEOUL, September 27 (Yonhap) -- The 2022 Performing Arts Busan will open their curtains on October 28 until December 3, the Busan Cultural Center announced.

Performing Arts Busan is an event planned to look for the region's best content, make the performing arts more lively and provide a chance for Busan citizens to watch performing arts.

44 pieces were applied during the contest exhibit, which was held in July and August.

Among all those, the selected four pieces will be performed on stage.

The four pieces will be "Thank you, Don Quixote" (Theater who loves the ocean and culture), "The Time of Rabbit h (art group C), "Hyun's Song" (Ilpa Gayageum Orchestra), and "Wellside Murder Case-someone lives there" (Kyunghee Dance Theater).

"Thank you, Don Quixote" will be meeting their audience in 2022 Seoul Performing Arts Festival on October 20–11 at Chongdong Theater as an officially invited team prior to the Busan performance on October 29–29.

"The Time of Rabbit h" (November 9 and 10) is a fantasy fairy tale which adults and children can enjoy together and was selected as a project to support the production of works by young directors of the Busan Cultural Foundation in 2016. In November of that year, it premiered at the Citizens' Sarangchae in Busan Citizens' Park, and this time, it will meet the audience again for the first time in six years.

"Hyun's Song," which is planned for November 15, will be a performance of harmony with Chinese Guzheng, Yang Qin, Taiwan Er Hu, Mongolia Buree, Uzbekistan Doira, and more Asian traditional instruments and gayageum with 25 lines.

The end of the festival will be decorated with ""Wellside Murder Case—someone lives there, "on December 2-3.

This piece depicts the cries and screams of farmers who lost their means of living and their homes due to the construction of Hoedong Suwon Dam during the Japanese colonial era. This performance is the premiere.

Refer to the Busan Cultural Center website (www.bscc.or.kr) for ticket reservations and a description of the pieces.
