SEOUL, July 8 (Yonhap) -- Actors Ji Jin-hee and Kim Ji-soo will headline the new drama "Family X Romance," set to premiere next month.
JTBC announced on the 8th that "Family X Romance" will air as the successor to the currently running weekend drama "The Woman Who is Different During Day and Night," with the first episode slated for August 10.
"Family X Romance" revolves around a father who, after being abandoned by his family following a business failure 11 years ago, returns as the landlord of the villa where his family lives.
Ji Jin-hee will portray Byun Moo-jin, the protagonist who, after a series of failures, was shunned by his family but makes a grand comeback as a wealthy man aiming to reclaim his place.
Kim Ji-soo will play Geum Ae-yeon, Byun Moo-jin's ex-wife, who, despite facing financial hardships, raises their children with her strong resilience.
Son Na-eun will take on the role of Byun Mi-rae, a supportive daughter who stands by her mother's side, while Yoon San-ha will play Byun Hyun-jae, Mi-rae's carefree younger brother in his 20s.
Choi Min-ho will portray Nam Tae-pyeong, a former national taekwondo champion who now works as a security guard at a large supermarket.
"Family X Romance" promises to deliver an engaging narrative, blending familial and romantic elements as it explores themes of redemption and reconciliation.
