SEOUL, Dec. 10 (Yonhap) -- Girl group NewJeans' debut song "Cookie" was ranked among the Best songs of 2022 list by New York Times.
According to NYT's "Best Songs of 2022" article on Wednesday (U.S. time), three pop columnist each released a list of best songs of this year and a total of around 70 songs were chosen.
"Cookie" was ranked 11th among the 22 songs, becoming the K-pop song to make the list created by Jon Caramanica.
Caramanica reviewed the song, saying, "Cookie is the best song from the debut EP by the impressive young K-pop girl group NewJeans," adding, "Most striking about the song is its ease - no maximalism, no theater."
NewJeans created a sensation by sweeping album and song charts with their debut EP. They will disclose new single "OMG" next month.
