Actress Park Ji-hyun of 'Reborn Rich' "I have showcased Mo Hyun-min's ambition very boldly throughout 'Reborn Rich'"

SEOUL December 26 (Yonhap) -- “Reborn rich” the oldest daughter in law Mo Hyun-min is not the character who married the eldest son of Soonyang group’s by contractual marriage.

She is a character with ambition who considers herself to be worthy of the place of Soonyang’s inheritor. Also she participates in the war of inheritance as a kingmaker of her husband Jin Seong-jun acted out by Kim Nam-hee with her ability to accurately assess the ability and power of other members of the family.

South Korean actress Park Ji-hyun who acted out the character Mo Hyun-min from drama series “Reborn Rich” participated in an interview conducted at the headquarter of Namoo Actors’ Entertainment on December 21 regarding her role throughout the hit series.

Although the actress plays a role of antagonist who rights against protagonist Jin Do-jun, acted by Song Joong-ki, Par Ji-hyun addressed “Mo Hyun-min’s actions throughout the series was understandable.”

“Every character has reasons for their actions, hence I do not believe in bad characters” adding “Mo Hyun-min, in particular is willing to do whatever it takes to receive the throne.” addressed actress Park Ji-hyun throughout her interview.

Throughout the drama antagonistic character Mo Hyun-min uses her family Hyunsung Ilbo to set traps against Jin Do-jun so that Jin Seong-jun can have the upper hand throughout the competition.

Actress Park Ji-hyun carefully addressed that she was jealous of Mo Hyun-min’s trait of showcasing her ambition without a hesitance.

“Mo Hyun-min is very active and she is fearless when it comes to achieving her ambition” adding ‘I thought to myself that everyone wants to be like Hyun-min, however it all comes down to their lack of motivation and background” addressed actress Park Ji-hyun.

Moreover, actress stated “Through Mo Hyun-min, I was able to experience what it is like to portray one’s ambition and want without hiding it back,” adding “I really liked my character because she had very high pride in herself and she also showed great self confidence.”

A lot of audiences were interested in the relationship between Mo Hyun-min and her husband figure Jin Seong-jun. Character Mo Hyun-min considers Jin Seong-jun to be not good enough for herself, given the exception of their want to take over the Soonyang Group. Both Mo Hyun-min and Jin Seong-jun are polar opposite people, who fight all the time. In order to achieve her dreams and ambition she even bears a son who might be able to inherit the Soonyang Group.

Park Ji-hyun when asked about her character’s relationship with Jin Seong-jun, she addressed “Mo Hyun-min used Jin Seong-jun as a mean to get one step closer to her ambition and ream, therefore it would be hard to address the relationship to be based on love.”

Towards the end of the drama Jin Seong-jun files a divorce with Mo Hyun-min. Actress Park Ji-hyun stated that she truly hopes Mo Hyun-min of her happiness after her divorce with Jin Seong-jun.

“Mo Hyun-min is very clear when it comes to her goal and ambition, however when that goes out of the line she quickly starts to think of contingency plans” adding “Just like she found out that she has no way of inheriting Soonyang and filed a divorce with Jin Seong-jun, I hope she lives a happy life.” addressed actress Park Ji-hyun throughout her interview.

Although Mo Hyun-min fuels herself with ambition, actress Park Ji-hyun had very small dream and wants, actress addressed “I want every day to be filled with happiness.”

“When I was young, I couldn’t sleep because of my unclear future, however that all came down to pressuring me and myself only, I act because I love acting and since I have chosen to be an actor as my career of choice, I should not regret on my choices, therefore I live every day with more motivation and with positive energy.” stated actress Park Ji-hyun.

Although actress Park Ji-hyun majored Spanish in her university days, in order to achieve her dreams to become an actress Park Ji-hyun started learning acting. She also stated “I was very dedicated in acting since the day I played acting with my family,” adding “Back then I thought acting was such an unstable future, however we all live once, therefore I decided to try out for the career path.” addressed actress Par Ji-hyun throughout her interview.

Actress Park Ji-hyun who debuted through the drama series “The King in Love” on 2017, kicked off her career through her role in “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum” in 2018, later on actress continued on with her career through “Do You Like Brahms?,” “Yumi’s Cells” and more. Actress was casted for a role of daughter figure of wealthy family, or very bold female characters due to her stylish figure.
