Actor Song Joong-ki Becomes Father of 2 Daughters

SEOUL, Nov. 21 (Yonhap) -- Actor Song Joong-ki, 39, said on Thursday that he has become a father of two children.

Song shared the joyful news on his fan café, writing, "I am currently in Rome. It has been just over a year since I welcomed my first child here, and now I am so grateful to have met another beautiful baby."

Alongside the announcement, he shared a black-and-white photo of his newborn's tiny hand, adding, "Our beautiful princess was born healthy. I'll take good care of my family here before returning to the set."

Song is currently filming the drama My Uth. Sharing updates on his work, he said, "I’m thrilled to be playing the character Sun Woo-hae. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked on such a grounded and relatable role, and I’m really enjoying the experience."

Debuting in 2008 with the film A Frozen Flower, Song Joong-ki rose to prominence through dramas like "Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010)," "The Innocent Man (2012)," "Descendants of the Sun (2016)," "Vincenzo (2021)," and "Reborn Rich (2022)."

In January last year, he married British actress Katy Louise Saunders, and they welcomed their first son in June 2023 in Rome, Italy.
