SEOUL,
Dec. 24 (Yonhap) --
KT Genie Music released the results of its streaming data analysis, dubbed the “Genie 2025 Year-End Chart,” on Wednesday.
Second place went to Lim Young-woong’s “More Beautiful Than Heaven,” followed by “Golden,” an original soundtrack from the Netflix animated film “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” in third place.
KT Genie Music said “Drowning,” which was originally released in 2023, climbed back up the charts through a reverse run to become this year’s most popular song.
By age group, the most-streamed song among teenagers was BoyNextDoor’s “I LOVE YOU.” Listeners in their 20s and 30s streamed “Drowning” the most, while those in their 40s favored “Golden.” For users aged 50 and older, Lim Young-woong’s “More Beautiful Than Heaven” topped the list.
Newcomers appearing on the year-end chart included Joezz (“Don’t You Know”), All Day Project (“Famous”), Kiki (“I Do Me”) and Hearts2Hearts (“The Chase”).
