SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Yonhap) -- Netflix has unveiled a trailer for the Berlin-bound Korean action-adventure film “Kill Boksoon,” starring Jeon Do-yeon, which is set to be released for international viewing on Mar. 31.
The action film tells the story of Gil Bok-soon, a woman with an unblemished track record as an assassin at a killing company played by Jeon Do-yeon, getting entangled in a risky confrontation and a series of complications ahead of her contract renewal with the company.
The movie will have its world premiere in the Berlinale Special section and will be uploaded on the online streaming service on Mar. 31.
“Kill Boksoon” is directed by Byung Sung-hyun, who is known for formerly delivering “The Merciless” (2016) and the political thriller “Kingmaker” (2021).
Meanwhile, Jeon is one of the most celebrated South Korean actresses, who is also the previous winner of the best actress prize at Cannes. In addition to Jeon, the film will be enriched by the appearances of even more veteran actors including Sol Kyung-gu, Kim Si-a, E Som, and Koo Kyo-hwan.
