SEOUL, September 1 (Yonhap) -- A special exhibition, marking the 40th anniversary of Bae Chang-ho, will be held, and his outstanding films will be played in one spot.  
 
The "Special Exhibition for Director Bae Chang-ho" will be held at CGV in Yongsan, Apgujeong, Seomyeon, Daegu Academy, and Cheonan beginning September 15 for two weeks, announced film publishers STUDIOBONANZA and Mirovision on Thursday.
 
They will be playing seven films, starting with director Bae Chang-ho's debut film "People of Kkobang Neighborhood" (1982) and continuing with "Whale Hunting" (1984), "Deep Blue Night" (1985), "Our Sweet Days of Youth" (1987), "The Young Man" (1994), "Love Story" (1996), and "My Heart" (2000). 
 
Director Bae Chang-ho, who started off by working in Director Lee Jang-ho's director team, made his debut with the movie "People of Kkobang Neighborhood," a story about the joys and sorrows of the common people in the moon village. He continued with "Whale Hunting," a story about youths' dreams and hope, and "Deep Blue Night," which depicts the two sides of the American Dream, and was able to become a film director who is considered the representation of the film industry from 1980 to 1990. The movie "The Young Man" is actor Lee Jung-jae's debut film.
 
The organizer of the special exhibition said, "The audience will be able to once again see the director's film history on the screen that led the Korean film industry under the name of "Korean Spielberg."
