SEOUL, Mar. 28 (Yonhap) – Girl group IVE has released a pre-release song “Kitsch” from its first full-length album on Monday, aiming for four consecutive hits since its debut.

According to the agency Starship Entertainment, “Kitsch” is a song that combines various instrumental sounds based on strong beats and bass. In particular, the chorus, which flows comfortably but shows a strong twist, is impressive.

Starship said, “IVE has shown a different charm while emphasizing its own identity that has become more solid with this pre-released song,” adding, “It’s a self-introducing song that shines brightly and shows unpredictability.”

IVE has appeared in the music industry in December 2021 and won the Rookie of the Year and Grand award at the same time, hitting three consecutive hits from their debut song “ELEVEN” to “LOVE DIVE” and “After LIKE.” With three singles, IVE has recorded cumulative album sales of 3 million copies and topped the music show 37 times in total.

“Kitsch,” which was released on the same day, went straight to the top of the music chart as soon as it was released. The song is ranked second on Melon, Korea’s largest music platform, as of 10 p.m., beating NewJeans’ hit songs “OMG” and “Hype Boy.”
