SEOUL, Sep. 8 (Yonhap) -- Boy band BTS’ music video for “FAKE LOVE” has reached a billion views on YouTube.
“FAKE LOVE”’s music video exceeded a billion views on YouTube at around 8:39 a.m. on the 8th, according to their agency Big Hit Music.
As the video marked over 100,100,000 views at 9 a.m. Thursday, we can see that it has been watched a millions times in a day.
This is their fifth music video to surpass a billion view. “DNA” and “Boy in Luv” have passed 1.3 billion views, “Dynamite” is over 1.2 billion views and “MIC Drop” remix exceeded a billion views in July.
“FAKE LOVE” is the title song for the band’s 3rd regular album “LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear” released in May 2018.
With the album, BTS signaled their takeoff for the top global popstar marking No. 1 on Billboard main album chart “Billboard 200” for the first in Korea.
The song’s music video depicts a boy breaking up after realizing his ‘fake love.’ It has received enormous love from the fans with the sensuous video with dark atmosphere and powerful performance.
‘Kinetic Manifesto Film’ of “ON”, the title song for the band’s 4th regular album “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7,” has exceeded 40 million views on YouTube on the 8th as well.
The video focuses on the members performances with the dancers and the marching band. It delivers the song in a form of manifesto, a kinetic body language.
The group has 34 videos viewed over a billion times including the two videos.
