SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- Marvel Studio’s hero movie “Thor: Love and Thunder” premiering on Wednesday, recorded total of over 350 thousand tickets booked in advance foreshadowing its success in South Korea’s Box office.
According to the integrated network of movie tickets by the Korean Film Council on Tuesday at 9 a.m, “Thor: Love and Thunder” have surpassed “Top Gun: Maverick” in reservation rate by scoring 349 thousand booked tickets, 65.8 percent in total.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” which premiers on Wednesday is a movie about the god of thunder, Thor, acted by Chris Hemsworth teams up with king of the new Asgard, Valkyrie, acted by Tessa Thompson, and old lover Jane Foster acted by Natalie Portman to save the world.
This will be MCU’s 4th movie about Thor. Out of all the Thor series, the latest movie “Thor Ragnarok” released in 2017 attracted in total of 4.85 million people, brining in the greatest success out of them all.
