SEOUL, July 26 (Yonhap) -- Actors Kim Yoon-seok, Yoon Kye-sang, Go Min-si, and Lee Jung-eun are set to come together in Netflix's new series, "The Frog," which will premiere next month.

Netflix announced on the 26th that the series will be released on August 23.

"The Frog" is a suspense thriller that tells the story of people whose peaceful lives are disrupted by a mysterious visitor during the height of summer, leading them into uncontrollable events.

Kim Yoon-seok, returning to drama after 17 years, plays the role of Jeon Young-ha, a pension owner, while Yoon Kye-sang takes on the role of Goo Sang-jun, a former motel owner. Go Min-si portrays Yoo Sung-ah, a character who exhibits an unusual obsession with Jeon Young-ha’s pension, and Lee Jung-eun transforms into Yoon Bo-min, a former ace detective now working as a police chief.

The series is directed by Mo Wan-il, known for his work on dramas such as "The World of the Married" and "Misty."

Director Mo commented, "It may seem odd, but the emotions I felt while working on 'The World of the Married' and 'The Frog' were similar. Both works feature intense conflicts and overwhelming emotions, making it feel like an incredible rollercoaster ride."
