BTS' song 'Friends' included in soundtrack for Marvel 'Eternals'

SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Yonhap) -- The new superhero film "Eternals," which marks the new beginning of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and global K-pop supergroup BTS are set to come together. 

The original soundtrack (OST) for the upcoming Marvel movie "Eternals," which is set to be released next month, included a track titled "Friends" from BTS' fourth full-length album "Map of the Soul: 7," according to Walt Disney Company Korea.
 

"Friends," which was produced by member Jimin on a story about friendship, is expected to be featured in a specific scene during the movie.

In addition to BTS, the original soundtrack also include music from singers of various genres and generations, including Carl Perkins, Skeeter Davis, Merle Haggard, Pink Floyd, and Lizzo.

The film depicts the story of a race of immortal beings called "The Eternals," who have not appeared for thousands of years, coming together to fight against humanity's oldest enemy "Deviants."

"Eternals," directed by Oscar-winning Chloé Zhao, who swept the world's film industry with her film "Nomadland" last year, stars Korean American actor Ma Dong-seok, or Don Lee, as well as Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie.
