SEOUL, Sept. 13 (Yonhap) -- Global superstar BTS has set another record, with its music video for the 2018 song "IDOL" exceeding 1 billion views on YouTube, the band's agency said Sunday.
YouTube views for "IDOL," released in August 2018, surpassed 1 billion around 10:39 p.m. the previous day, becoming yet another milestone for the seven-piece act, according to Big Hit Music.
BTS now has six music videos that have been watched more than a billion times each. "Fake Love" has also racked up 1 billion views just five days ago on Sept. 8.
In addition, "DNA" and "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)," previously achieved 1.3 billion views apiece, followed by "Dynamite," with 1.2 billion views, while the "MIC Drop" remix and "Fake Love" surpassed 1 billion views.
"IDOL," the title track of BTS' repackaged album "LOVE YOURSELF: Answer," gained worldwide popularity and debuted at No.11 on Billboard's main singles chart.
