SEOUL, Sep. 24 (Yonhap) -- While “Squid Game” of Netflix has become a global hit, new TV series released during the Chuseok holidays have also gathered attention and praises.
MBC series, which had been in a slump for a while, kicked off a spy series “The Veil” starring Nam Koong-min to turn over the tables. The drama caught the watchers’ eyes with its heavy and large-scale opening like a foreign spy series.
It’s first episode, marking viewer rate of 7.2% (Nielson Korea), was a little behind of SBS TV “One the Woman.” But the rate leapt to 8.0% with its second episode making the series rank No. 1 of Fridays-Saturdays series.
“One the Woman” featuring Lee Ha-nee’s double roles is marking viewer rate of 7~8%. Lee, who showed steady acting in comic-actions genre with film “Extreme Job” and series “Yeolhyeolsaje,” is presenting her hard practiced skills as the main character of the genre. Many say that the story is humorous and satisfying making it fit enough to enjoy in a weekend’s night.
