BUSAN, Aug. 30 (Yonhap) -- The 6th Global E-sports Executive Summit (GEES) will be held at Busan e-Sports Arena from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1.
The summit, which will be held in Busan for the fifth consecutive year since 2016, is a place where officials from different countries share the current status of the global e-sports industry and create synergy through discussions with each other.
Under the theme of "Evolving and Adapting" to the e-sports Industry, the summit will consist of opening ceremonies, session discussions, and e-sports awards.
The 6th GEES will be conducted as hybrid methods of online and offline attendance.
In the panel discussions, local and foreign e-Sports industry officials will discuss "Encouraging Esports and Traditional Sports Crossover," "The Next Level of Esports," "Diversity and Inclusion in Esports," "Integrating Esports into Education," and "Understanding the Esports Landscape."
Foreign guest speakers will be able to share ideas through an online video connection.
At the newly established eSports Awards this year, players, teams and games that contributed to the development of the eSports industry will be selected and awarded.
After pre-registering through the website (gees.iesf.org), people will also be able to participate in the meetings online.
