SEOUL, September 7 (Yonhap) -- Singer and actor Jun Hyo-seong and a Sungshin Women's University professor, Seo Kyoung-duk, produced and released a video (www.youtube.com/watch?v=XclAg-SyLew) to spread climate crisis awareness.
It is a four-minute video titled "Small Practice of Protecting the Blue Sky" and was produced as part of KB Financial Group's "Korea Better" campaign. The video was processed with English subtitles (www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxW-6OYpd20).
The video explains the severity of the climate crisis caused by the increase in atmospheric carbon concentration and introduces renewable energy and energy-saving air conditioning systems used in buildings to reduce carbon emissions.
Moreover, reducing paper use, using re-usable cups, reducing standby power and finding more ways people can follow in everyday life are introduced to encourage participation in the carbon reduction movement.
Professor Seo Kyoung-duk stated, "If the awareness of the earth's environment is spread to people in Korea and abroad, and people actually make these little changes in their daily lives, it will help Korea to retain a better national image, and this is also why we started the "Korea Better" campaign."
The video is being shared not only on YouTube but through other social media, including Facebook, Instagram as well.
The video is also shared with overseas Koreans and Korean international student communities around the world.
Jun Hyo-seong, the DJ of the radio broadcast themed "Zero Waste," took charge of the narration of the video.
She said, "I am happy to share the importance of the earth's environment using my voice and I hope this video reaches many people."
KB Financial Group will continue the "Korea Better" campaign with Professor Seo Kyoung-duk making videos like "The Crisis of the Honeybee" and many more videos related to the earth's environment in different languages to spread awareness.
