Jessi to Make Comeback Tomorrow with 'Newsflash' Under Own Label

SEOUL, June 26 (Yonhap) -- K-pop singer-rapper Jessi will release her new single "Newsflash" at 1 p.m. on Thursday, marking her return after about a year, according to her newly founded agency UNNI Company.

"Newsflash" is a hip-hop track that uses the metaphor of a breaking news alert to portray Jessi’s comeback journey following a hiatus. The song features her trademark confident style and energy.

Jessi faced controversy in September last year when her entourage was accused of assaulting an underage fan, a charge from which she was cleared in November.

Ahead of her comeback, Jessi established her own independent label, UNNI Company.
