SEOUL, Oct. 4 (Yonhap) -- To commemorate Hangeul Day on October 9, Hybe announced on October 4 the launch of its official merchandise line 2024 Dalmajung BTS X MU, created in collaboration with the National Museum of Korea Foundation.

Dalmajung, now in its third year since its debut in 2021, blends the beauty of Korean traditional culture with BTS’s global brand influence.

Hybe explained that Dalmajung was designed in partnership with MU, a museum brand known for incorporating modern design into traditional motifs, making Korean heritage popular among the MZ generation.

This year’s Dalmajung collection draws inspiration from six National Treasure-level artifacts held by the National Museum of Korea, including the Pensive Bodhisattva statue, a Goryeo celadon melon-shaped bottle with inlaid chrysanthemum and peony patterns, a celadon bowl with chrysanthemum vine motifs, a white porcelain bowl with inlaid lotus and vine patterns, a white porcelain bottle with peony and butterfly motifs, and a white porcelain moon jar.

These cultural elements are paired with BTS’s iconic logo and lyrics from the group’s songs, Yet To Come and Mikrokosmos. The phrase, "Do you dream? What lies at the end of that path?" from Yet To Come is inscribed on the Pensive Bodhisattva miniature, while the lyrics, "Each person has a history; each person has a star," from Mikrokosmos are featured on the moon jar, symbolizing an intricate blend of tradition and modernity in BTS’s Dalmajung series.
