SEOUL, August 11 (Yonhap) -- Kim Ga-ram, who left rookie girl group Le Sserafim last month, talked for the first time through social media, 21 days after her departure.
Kim Ga-ram wrote, “First of all, I want to say I am sorry. Although I am very late, I did not have the opportunity to talk about my story,” on what believes to be her acquaintance’s social media account, according to a source on Thursday.
She said, “It is true that I was worried the dream I had been working hard for a long time gets destroyed due to my past actions,” adding, “I became scarier as the number of criticism towards me increased day by day.”
She stated, “I have never hit or committed violence on anyone. I never bullied or outcasted someone. I was just an ordinary student.”
She then revealed about a story of Student A posting a naked photo of another friend on social media. She also shared original copy of “Consultative paper of Autonomous Committee for Countermeasures against School Violence” and “case summary.”
Kim Ga-ram said, “At the time. I thought it was right to help the victim, and I was unaware of its seriousness,” adding, “Although my way was wrong and I made many mistakes and immature actions, I don’t want to hate myself at the time.”
She also said, “I will work harder to make my rest life shine,” adding, “2 weeks after the debut was a dreamlike moment, and it will be remembered as a time I will never be able to forget. I will work harder to be a better person.”
Le Sserafim, who received public attention as the “first HYBE girl group,” went through a rough time since the debut in last May as Kim Ga-ram was involved in a school violence allegation. Kim Ga-ram departed the team after exclusive contract was canceled in July 20.
