SEOUL, October 27 (Yonhap)-- Jindo National Gugak Center (Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do) invited the Sori Art Company, Dochaebee team to perform their "Heungbu in Wonderland" at the Jinakdang stage on October 29, at 5 p.m.
Heungbu in Wonderland is a story of a challenge to the hope of Heungbu, who was born in poverty and lives in an unfair society.
An official from the Jindo National Gugak Center said on October 27, "We have newly utilized and adapted the existing pansori plot and main characters, including Chunhyangga and Sugungga, as well as traditional pansori Heungboga, so that the audience living in the present can relate to the story."
It is composed of musical plays by exquisitely arranging traditional pansori, modern music familiar to the public.
The show is expected to give sympathy and fun to many people by expressing the pain of young people in an unfair society through humor and sarcasm.
The Sori Art Company, Dochaebee, is a youth traditional arts group that pursues globalization by modernizing Korean traditional arts.
The performance is free to watch.
