AleXa re-receives American Song Contest trophy through US Embassy in Korea

SEOUL, July 3 (Yonhap) -- It was announced on Friday that the trophy that AleXa got as she won the American Song Contest hosted by NBC in May, had been damaged.

AleXa received the trophy again through the US Embassy in Korea.

According to her agency ZB Label, Alexa visited the embassy's residence at the invitation of the US Embassy in Korea on June 30 and had a conversation with the current US Ambassador to Korea, Christopher Del Corso and received a new trophy for the “American Song Contest.”

This meeting came about when AleXa won the contest program in the United States, American song contest.

While AleXa received the trophy when she won the championship in May, the trophy was broken during the closing performance.

Ambassador Christopher handed over the newly created trophy by the American Song Contest to AleXa on the same day.

During the meeting, the two talked about AleXa's participation in the “American Song Contest” and also discussed ways to promote exchanges in the field of performing arts between Korea and the United States.

AleXa said, "It was an honor to be invited to such a meaningful event. I’m happy to be able to have many meaningful conversations in a meaningful place that connects Korea and the United States."
