SEOUL, July 3 (Yonhap) -- Singer Lim Young-woong is set to showcase his acting skills in the short film 'In October,' which will be released at noon on the 6th via Coupang Play and TVing, his agency Fish Music announced on the 3rd.
'In October' is set in a society devastated by a virus, focusing on the protagonist, played by Lim, as he navigates and overcomes various incidents and emotions. This role marks Lim Young-woong's challenge to portray complex and subtle emotions on screen.
The film also features actors Ahn Eun-jin and Hyun Bong-sik, and is directed by Kwon Oh-joon, who has worked on music videos for BTS. Filming took place in locations such as Iksan, North Jeolla Province, and Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, with a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
Last month, Lim previewed scenes from the film during the music video for his song 'Warmth' and at his solo concert 'IM HERO - THE STADIUM' at Sangam World Cup Stadium. Additionally, on August 28, he will release a concert film capturing the live performance from the Sangam concert at CGV theaters.
