SEOUL March 15 (Yonhap) -- “To the ones who inflict school violence to others, being left alone is the most cruel and realistic punishment.”
The South Korean Netflix Series “The Glory” which is receiving a lot of love from all over the world depicts a story of revenge from a school bullying victim. Moreover actress continued on by stating “I try not to over complicate things when I am acting, in my perspective there are characters in life where we can’t understand, therefore it was not hard for me to act out the character, however I thought to myself that I should not feel remorse or put emotional connection to bullies because I might find reason to understand their stances.”
As far as the question regarding the ending of the drama series actress described that the ending of the world well known series “The Glory” is somewhat expectable and a the ending depicts worthy punishment of bullies showcased throughout the series.
“Even if Sa-ra and Yeon-jin gets released from the prison and Hae-jung gets out of the hospital after full recovery, they are left with nobody in life, therefore they are solely alone, the fact they individuals have to take on by themselves showcases how cruel and scary the revenge Moon Dong-eun showcased is.” adding “It was interesting to participate in a series that motivates people so that they can walk out the shadow.” addressed actress throughout the interview.
Moreover actress stated “The revenge depicted throughout the series is bit unrealistic, however through the story I feel like we were able to motivate people to at least say ‘Don’t’ or ‘Stop’ motivate people to act out in the real world.”
