SEOUL, April 27 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Kwang-soo will drop out of SBS TV entertainment program, "Running Man" after being on the game show for 11 years.

Lee Kwang-soo's agency, KINGKONG by Starship Entertainment, announced that "May 24th will be the last filming day for Lee Kwang-soo on 'Running Man'."

The agency explained that Lee Kwang-soo was steadily rehabilitating due to injuries caused by an accident last year and it was difficult to maintain his health condition during filming. The actor has decided to have some time off to reorganize his body and mind after having long discussions with the show members, production team, and his agency.

"It was not easy to decide Lee Kwang-soo's withdrawal from 'Running Man' because all of the members got to share both tough and joyful experiences on the show for 11 years. However, we have decided that the actor needed time to recover in order to show better performances in future activities," Lee Kwang-soo's agency stated.

"We sincerely appreciate the interest and love everybody has sent to Lee Kwang-soo through his journey on 'Running Man'," said KINGKONG by Starship Entertainment. "Lee Kwang-soo will soon be able to greet everybody with a healthy and bright appearance."

Lee Kwang-soo has been a member of 'Running Man' since July 2010, and has been loved not only in Korea but also throughout Asia for his humorous talks and unique sense of character, earning the nickname "Asia Prince."

The rest of the members for 'Running Man' will still carry on.
