SEOUL, Jan. 30 (Yonhap) – South Korean mega-hit boy group NCT 127 has attracted a whopping 700,000 audiences during the group’s 2nd world tour “NEO CITY - THE LINK,” which was held 28 times in 17 cities worldwide, the band’s agency SM Entertainment announced Monday.

Starting off in Seoul in Dec. 2021, the nine-piece group dropped by Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Chicago in the U.S.; Sao Paulo in Brazil; Mexico City in Mexico; Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya in Japan; and Manila in the Philippines.

The group also successfully held dome tours in Japan’s most acknowledged three domes in each city, following their concert in Jamsil Main Stadium, which is commonly referred to as the “Dream Stage” in South Korea.

SM Entertainment said, “NCT 127 has witnessed their ever-growing global popularity as a representative K-pop artist both in name and reality by stepping on all major concert halls that are deemed to be Asia’s dream stages.”

The group also held their act in South America on the completely opposite side of the globe: The gig held their performance three times in Brazil and even had the subway time extended for the convenience of crowds in Chile.

NCT 127 wrapped up the finale of their world tour with 16,000 fans in Mexico City, Mexico, on Jan. 28 (local time).

NCT 127 said, “Today is the last day of our world tour, and I am beyond grateful to all our members,” adding, “But the performances would not have been put on stage without our fans, who are the last piece of the puzzle of our stage. Thank you so much for honoring us with your presence at each performance.”

The group recently dropped their 4th full-length repackage album, “Ay-Yo,” and will continue their activities.
