'Jeongwol Daeboreum: Full Moon Festival' to kick off in 5 years at Cheorwon

SEOUL January 29 (Yonhap) -- Cheorwon Culture Center has addressed that “27th Jeongwol Daeboreum: The Full Moon Festival” which wishes the wellbeing of days to come, will be held at Goseokjeong Pavilion located within Cheorwon district in Gangwon Province starting on May 5.

Throughout the festival starting at 2 p.m. visitors will be offered with various traditional games, creating kites, and more.

Visitors of the festival who are interested in participating in the traditional game competition can register at the scene of the festival or through the city council, whereas everyone will be freely offered to participate in various experience exhibit.

The festival will offer visitors with various shows provided by Silver Green Orchestra, Korean traditional performances and more on top of various activities to participate in.

Event for greeting the full moon will kick off at 6:20 p.m.

Daljip burning event which will take place wishes good luck within the upcoming year by burning the written wishes by visitors intertwined within other wishes.

Kim Hyun-mo, the representative of Cheorwon Culture Center addressed “Since it is the first festival being held in five years I hope the festival will provide a place for visitors to meet up with one another and enjoy their time.”
