GIMCHEON, May 8 (Yonhap) -- Scars all over the stem tell us the weight of the Ginko tree to be 500 years old. This ginkgo tree in the precinct of Seomgye-seonwon Confucious School at Joryong-ri, Daedeok-myeon, Gimcheon-City, Gyeongsangbuk-do is a Natural Monument No. 300 of Korea and has long been the guardian of the village and seowon.
