SEOUL, September 27 (Yonhap) -- The hanbok design, which Kim Yu-na, the queen of figure skating, participated in designing, will be shown at a fashion show in London, UK.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that they will be holding a "Hanbok Fashion Show, Hanbok Wave" and presenting the hanbok made with Kim Yuna, in collaboration with Korea Craft & Design Foundation and Korean Cultural Center UK at Korean Cultural Center UK on September 27, at 7 p.m. (local time).
The fashion show is organized as part of a project to help develop overseas markets for the hanbok industry.
Kim Yu-na participated in designing the hanbok and the photo shoots. Ten hanbok companies designed 60 hanboks featuring Kim Yu-na's unique characteristics.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will put the fashion show video on the "Hallyu! The Korean Wave" exhibition website, which is being held at the Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK.
Kim Yu-na's 10 hanbok pictorials will also be released through Marie Claire, a French Paris fashion magazine.
