◇ TWICE secures
largest preorders in career with 'Ready to Be'

K-pop girl group
TWICE has broken its own album preorder records with EP "Ready to
Be," the group's management agency said Wednesday.
"Ready to
Be," the band's 12th EP which dropped on Friday, surpassed 1.7 million copies
in preorders as of Tuesday, heralding another million seller from the group
after "Between 1&2" released in August, according to JYP
Entertainment.
The album's
pre-released English-language single, "Moonlight Sunrise," reached No.
84 on the Billboard Hot 100 albums chart last month.
"Set Me
Free," the main track of the album, is about a girl who falls in love,
which makes her feel herself, and resolves to bet everything to protect her
feeling of love, according to the agency.
◇ NewJeans’
'Ditto' becomes most frequent chart topper within Melon daily chart

NewJeans' winter
single pre-release song "Ditto" has become the most number-one song
on the daily chart of Melon, Korea's largest music platform, according to its
agency ADOR on Tuesday.
Since the release
of the song on December 19 last year, "Ditto" has topped the list for
78 consecutive times until the 6th of this month, surpassing the previous
record set by BTS's hit song "Dynamite."
"'Ditto' has
also remained at the top of the Melon weekly chart for 11 weeks," ADOR
said. "This is also the longest record since the Melon service began in
2004."
NewJeans has won
three awards at the 20th Korean Music Awards, winning three categories: Rookie
of the Year, Best K-Pop Album and Best K-Pop Song.

Meanwhile, NewJeans' songs
have exceeded more than 1 billion combined streams on Spotify, its management
agency said Thursday.
The girl group
recorded 107,788,873 streams on the global music streaming service as of
Tuesday with six songs that it has released since its debut in August, ADOR
said.
◇ BLACKPINK Jisoo's first solo album to arrive on March 31

The release date
of BLACKPINK member Jisoo's much-awaited solo debut album “ME” was confirmed,
the group's agency.
YG Entertainment
announced on its official blog that the album will arrive on March 31 with a
mysterious "Coming Soon" teaser image featuring a bright wide red
piece of cloth spread on a beautiful green field.
Agency also released
a new poster for Jisoo’s solo debut confirming the title of the album, which is
“ME,” on Thursday.
Earlier this
year, it confirmed that Jisoo was preparing for a solo debut album to become
the fourth and final member of the quartet to go solo. Three other members made
successful debuts as soloists -- Jennie with "Solo" in 2018 and both
Rose and Lisa in 2021 with "R" and "Lalisa," respectively.
