SEOUL, June 7 (Yonhap) -- Son Suk-ku's short thriller "Night Fishing" has been officially invited to the International Short Film Competition at the 28th Fantasia International Film Festival, CGV announced on the 7th.
The festival, recognized as the largest genre film festival in North America, will take place from July 18 to August 4 in Montreal, Canada.
The festival praised "Night Fishing" for its "captivating world view that promises potential development into a feature-length film." Directed by Moon Byung-gon, who previously won the Short Film Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, the 12-minute and 59-second short film follows a man's mysterious encounter at an electric vehicle charging station.
"Night Fishing" will be screened at CGV theaters on July 14-16 and 21-23
