SEOUL, August 19 (Yonhap) -- Spy movie “Hunt,” starring Lee Jung-jae and Jung Woo-sung, is likely to take over S.Korean box office this weekend.
“Hunt” is topping the box office for nine consecutive days since its release on Aug. 10, according to the integrated network of movie tickets by the Korean Film Council on Friday. The cumulative audience is 2.32 million until Thursday.
The reservation rate is 30.1% as of Friday morning, ousting No.2 “Hansan : Rising Dragon” (15.2%) and taking the lead.
Director Jordan Peele’s new horror movie “Nope” was released on Wednesday but is behind two S.Korean movies with the reservation rate of 14.7%.
“Top Gun: Maverick,” starring Tom Cruise, and “Emergency Declaration” still remained high on the box office chart as fourth and fifth place respectively.
France thriller “Full Time” and documentary movie “Nocturne,” which documented a life of musician with autistic spectrum, were released ahead of this weekend.
