SEOUL, Dec. 7 (Yonhap) -- Talented high school girls’ confidence has added to Korea’s enthusiasm for dance.
Mnet dance audition program 'Street Dance Girls ranked 3rd in the overall category and 2nd in the entertainment category, according to CJ ENM’s Content Impact Assessment Index (CPI, refer to the glossary below) for the 4th week of November. The CPI index stood at 249.6.
The program, produced as a follow-up to “Street Woman Fighter,”, is a contest program that selects the best high school girls dance crew.
In its first episode aired on Nov. 30, high school girls gathered with passion for dancing caught the viewers’ eyes by demonstrating their level of skill comparable to that of adult dancer.
If “Street Woman Fighter” was a competition between 'sisters' who lead the dance world, “Street Girls Fighter” gave freshness to viewers by competing with dance prospects who were heavily armed with extraordinary aspirations.
Clip videos of “Clusi” who showed off their unusual wit and talent, 'The Queens” who won multiple overseas awards, and “Bling Girls” who showed a powerful performance, rapidly spread through social media just after the show. It is gaining immense popularity.
Also, viewers were satisfied that the dancers of the eight crews from “Street Woman Fighter” came out as judges to show their expertise.
They did their part by fighting fiercely to bring talented girls to their team, while showing off their unique 'chemistry’ with the solid bond they built through “Street Woman Fighter.”
In addition, rivalry between crews 'Miss Moly' and 'Nf', 'Neps' and 'H', who are competing crews in the same region as well and “Turns” and “Amazon” who first applied as a team, but started splitting due to conflicts between members, are adding tension to the program.
