Nongshim pointed out the increase in various gatherings due to the lift of social distancing as the key to the popularity of shrimp chips this year. Nongshim's analysis is that shrimp chips, which can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of gender or age, were greatly loved at social gatherings of friends or family.
They have analyzed that the continued recession and the economic slowdown have led people to prefer best brands and items, which have been loved by people for a long time.
The demand for Shrimp Cracker has increased as consumers choose Shrimp Cracker, a familiar brand, over new products.
The premium product "Shrimp Crack Black" which was released last year is expected to exceed 10 billion won for its annual income.
Shrimp Cracker is Korea's first snack which was released in 1971, and one pack of Shrimp Cracker is made out of 4~5 shrimps of 5~7 cm.
