SEOUL, September 6 (Yonhap) -- South Korean drama “The Love According to Law” featuring the romantic comedy between former prosecutions officer who is the owner of the building and whimsical lawyer who recently moved into former prosecutions officer’s building premiered on Monday.
“I have never read a script which I felt more emotionally attached to, I empathized, was comforted and was in tears while reading the script.” stated South Korean actor Lee Seung-gi who acted out the former prosecutions officer Kim Jeong-ho, throughout the press conference held on Monday for the upcoming drama “The Love According to Law” which will be released through south Korean broadcasting service KBS 2TV.
“I remember, this is why I liked romantic comedy.” adding “Unlike other projects I think when participating in romantic comedy, actors and actresses need to show their true self.” announced actor Lee Seung-gi throughout the press conference.
Adding on to his answers “Counseling and consultation programs such as ‘Oh Eun-young’s Golden Counseling Center’ there are a lot of programs which mends out wounds, I think our drama fits into that same category. Throughout the drama one will think of how similar we all are.”
Lee Seung-gi is collaborating with actress Lee Se-young in four years since they both participated in a drama “A Korean Odyssey.”
Throughout the drama actress Lee Se-young who acts out the female protagonist Kim Yu-ri who Kim Jeong-ho acted by Lee Seung-gi had crush on for 17 years, has a very similar personality with the character she acts out throughout the series. Actress Lee Se-young chuckled while describing her character that “I have been developing and working on the character since I was born for about 31 years now.”
Adding on to her answer she stated “I can assure you that, throughout the series I will be showing you a side of me that I have never shown you before.” showing her confidence in her character.
Drama “The Love According to Law” is based on writer Noh Seoung-ah’s web novel “Love According to the Law” which has over 25 million views in total. Also the production is lead by the director Lee Jung-sub who is known for her work “Bread Love and Dreams,” “My Lawyer, Mr. Joe” and more.
“Actor Lee Seong-gi and actress Lee Se-young was born to act out the romantic comedy” adding “The drama is very closely produced to the original novel therefore you will see a lot of similarities in between them.” stated, director Lee throughout the press conference.
Along with Lee Seung-gi and Lee Se-young actor Kim Nam-hee, Ahn Dong-goo, Kim Do-hoon and more actors will appear throughout the series with their unique characters .
Actor Kim Nam-hee who acts out the psychiatrist Park Woo-jin who works at his hospital located within the building of Kim Jeong-ho stated “I was assigned with a vulnerable character,” adding “I have spiced up the character based on how it is described in the web novel.”
“If the web novel portrays the beauty of romance, the drama features bit more of comedy and humanism.” adding “Viewers will be able to find interest in drama due to its different but at the same time similar approach.” stated actor Kim Do-hoon who acts out Bae-joon a law school student and the part time worker of Kim Yu-ri’s café.
