SEOUL, April. 26 (Yonhap) -- "BTS forest" named after the group BTS has been created in Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul, said Melon on Wednesday.
The BTS forest has been created as one of Melon's eco-friendly projects, “Forest; reaming.” If you select the name of your favorite singer on the "Forest; reaming" page while using Melon's regular payment voucher, 2% of the monthly payment amount will be accumulated. If the accumulated amount hits 20 million won, it will be donated to the Korean Federation for Environmental Movement and used to create a forest named after the singer in downtown Seoul.
Last month, BTS became the first artist among Korean and foreign singers to accumulate more than 20 million won in "Forest; reaming" by fans. As a result, Melon, the Korean Federation for Environmental Movement, and the Seoul Han River Business Headquarters decorated a BTS forest consisting of three fringe tree and 400 heavenly bamboo trees in Nanji Hangang Park.
Fans and citizens can look around this forest if they visit the grass yard near the Nanji Information Center.
