SEOUL, April 24 (Yonhap) -- Thriller series 'Player' is returning with its second season in summer on tvN, six years after the first season aired on OCN in 2018.
tvN announced on the 24th that the new drama 'Player 2' (working title) will premiere on June 3.
The drama depicts the exhilarating revenge play of 'Players' with outstanding talents in various fields, including a genius con artist, the best hacker certified by the society, a naturally gifted driver, and a born fighter.
Following Season 1, Song Seung-heon will once again play Kang Ha-ri, the greatest con artist of the era who plans and sets up operations. Lee Si-eon and Taewon Seok will continue their roles as a hacker and a fighter, respectively.
Joining Season 2, Oh Yeon-seo takes on the role of Jung Soo-min, a strategic planner with exceptional charisma, and Jang Gyu-ri plays Cha Ji-ei, known for extraordinary driving skills.
tvN stated, "Expect fiery team play action from the 'Players' who take down villains and uphold justice in their own way."
