SEOUL, August 28 (Yonhap) -- To celebrate BLACKPINK's comeback, landmarks in major cities around the world, including Seoul, Tokyo, and New York, have been colored pink, which symbolizes them.

YG Entertainment announced on Sunday that they held a "Light Up The Pink" event that lit up major attractions around the world with pink lights around the release date of BLACKPINK's new song "Pink Venom."

They began with the N Seoul Tower in South Korea and progressed to the Tokyo Tower in Japan, the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, the Ferris wheel in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, and a pink media facade on the wall of CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand.

YG Entertainment announced that "more than 50 thousand global fans around the world have been joining the SNS event" and said that "U.S. Billboard, Japan's TBT, and more major international media reported this."

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will appear on SBS TV's "Inkigayo" and present its first TV stage of "Pink Venom." This will be the only music show they will appear at, and the stage was recorded in advance.
