SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Yonhap) -- CJ ENM and Warner Bros. have announced a partnership to co-produce remake films of each other's works.

CJ ENM on Wednesday revealed that it has signed a contract with Warner Bros. for a feature film remake project. Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop, invest, and distribute remakes of their respective films.

When Warner Bros.' works are remade in Korean, CJ ENM will take the lead as the studio, while Warner Bros. will take the lead when CJ ENM's films are remade in English. The collaboration will begin from the early stages of casting writers, directors, and actors.

In terms of distribution, CJ ENM will oversee releases in South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Turkey, while Warner Bros. will handle distribution in other regions.

CJ ENM’s Ko Kyung-beom, head of the film business division, commented, "Warner Bros. is an excellent partner with a track record of producing legendary films in Hollywood. They have the expertise to create high-quality hit films and deliver them successfully to audiences."

He added, "Through this collaboration, we hope to discover hidden gems and provide new, inspiring stories to audiences."
