SEOUL, March 24th (Yonhap) -- Veteran K-pop boy band g.o.d's member Son Ho-young announced to change his stage name and become a solo singer.
The singer's agency, Stone Music Entertainment and Swing Entertainment revealed on the 24th that Son Ho-young will release a new single "Through the flowing time (흘러가는 시간 속에서)".
This first new song to be drop by Son Ho-young since he released "None like you" in 2016.
Singer Son Ho-young also changed his name to "SHY" after his initials, in order to show the public that he start fresh as a solo artist.
Son Ho-young aims to advertise his comeback by releasing daily promotions sequentially through social media. On March 28th, Stone Music Entertainment's YouTube channel will hold an online fan meeting titled, "HOI at Home" to celebrate the singer's birthday.
The 40-year-old singer debuted as a five member group called g.o.d in 1999 but made a solo debut with the song "Yes" in 2006 after the group disbanded. He released two mini albums and two full length albums so far and his most popular song include, "Love Brings Separation" and "Cry".
However, after g.o.d reunited in 2014, Son Ho-young released an album with his band members as well as formed a duo with the lead vocalist of the group, Kim Tae-woo.
